BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Red Feather Development Group Board of Directors provides the direction and oversight needed to ensure the continued growth and success of the Red Feather mission while maintaining the fiduciary and governance oversight to protect the interest of the organization's donors. Each board member volunteers their time and talent to Red Feather and participates on a sub-committee.

Chrystel Cornelius

​Ms. Cornelius is the founder of the nation's pre-eminent native CDFI, with  over 23 years of experience working in the Native economic development field.  She is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians located in North Dakota.

Mark Hall

Mark Hall led Red Feather as the ED for years, passionately developing the organization's home repair programs and expanding work with the tribes of Arizona and the Southwest. He continues to guide the organization as the Board Vice President, providing oversight and strategic direction.

Joe Seidenberg
​Executive Director

Joe is responsible for hiring and managing the staff, managing the finances, and working with staff, board, and partners in developing and evaluating programs to ensure the overall sustainability of Red Feather.  He has a deep passion for work that helps improve the lives of others and contributes to a more compassionate world. In his spare time he is a devoted father and husband, who enjoys being in wild places, eating delicious foods, and pursuing athletic endeavors.

Roy Lee Hosteen
​4-Corners Program Coordinator 

Roy grew up working in his family’s home construction business through his teenage years.  After attending college he went on to have a 33 year career in the mining industry working across multiple disciplines including graphite draftsman, statistician, surveyor, computer analyst, site project representative, budget coordinator, and project manager.  Since retirement, Roy has taught himself lapidary and silversmith arts.  He is fluent in Navajo and English.    He has a passion for hearing stories of his elders and enjoying their laughter when humor is exchanged in Navajo.

Georlinda Tsosie
​Administrative Program Coordinator

Georlinda is Navajo and her clans are Mą'ii deeshgiizhinii, Tábąąhá,  Ta'neeszahnii, and T ł 'ízí lání. She is originally from Burnt Corn Valley, Arizona and currently lives in Flagstaff, Arizona with her daughter Mylianne. She graduated from Diné College with degrees in Office Administration and Business Administration. Her long-term plans include pursuing a Master's Degree in Public Administration. Her  work and experience revolve around making a change in people's lives within Native American communities. Every chance she gets, she loves to help and give back by volunteering to develop a healthy community. During her free time, she likes to listen to music, spend time with my family, and run and hike with her daughter.

Brian McNeal

​Community Coordinator- Navajo Nation

Born in Tuba City, and a graduate of Tuba City High School, Brian McNeal has worked with numerous non-profits on the Navajo Nation and has a construction background in welding and pipefitting. He worked as an Independent Living Coordinator at Assist to Independence serving those with disabilities and has experience as a direct care provider. Marrying these two backgrounds in his current role at Red Feather allows him to further his passion for serving his community.

Brian is a loving father of two children, an avid fisher, camper and outdoor enthusiast. ​

Aaron Secakuku
​Program Manager 

Aaron is from the village of Bacavi on the Hopi reservation, and is Greasewood/Roadrunner clan.  His varied experience includes positions with the Flagstaff Family Food Center, Flagstaff Unified School District and Native Americans for Community Actions, Inc. (NACA).  He has served as the Board President for North Country Health Care and First Mesa Youth Center on the Hopi reservation. In his spare time he enjoys spending time outdoors, hunting and tending to responsibilities back home on the Hopi reservation.

Kiera Coughlan

​Fund Development Manager

Kiera grew up in Colorado and has lived in Northern California, Paris, Ireland, Oregon and is now happy to call Arizona home. She received her BA in International Studies with an emphasis on Post-Colonial Studies from Humboldt State University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Culture and Colonialism from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has over ten years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grant writing and communications in the arts and social services. She loves folklore studies, quiet afternoons with books and coffee, challenging herself on the climbing wall and cuddles with her black cat, Ronan.

Duane Tsinigine
​
​Program Coordinator 

Duane is a member of the Navajo Nation from Tuba City, Arizona. Originally from Bodaway/The Gap, he graduated from Highland High School, Bakersfield, CA in 1983.  He attended Brigham Young University where he was active with the Cougar Marching Band and was a journalist with the Eagle's Eye student newspaper.  He then entered a career in the Navajo Legislature, working in Window Rock until 2017. From 2018-2020 he served as the KELC Director for the Kaibab Paiute Tribe. 

He loves outdoor beach volleyball, basketball, tennis & hiking. Current goals are to complete a Master's in Public Relations and travel the global south.

Amber

​Cuteness Coordinator 

Rez mutt turned office dog, Amber has extensive experience with on-reservation communities and in the nonprofit sphere. She brings both a lifetime of lived experience and a unique viewpoint to Red Feather's work, and is able to deftly manage the office staff with her natural leadership skills. 

In her free time, she likes to eat lunch leftovers, blink slowly at her colleagues, and sniff various things on the floor.

Delisa deVargas
​Director of Administration and Finance 

Delisa grew up in Alaska, in a family with close ties to both the Arizona southwest and Alaska’s native community. Joining the Red Feather team offered a way to give back to cultures that have profoundly impacted her own worldview and make use of the accounting and administration skills developed helping to manage her Dad’s construction company. Delisa has lived in Montana with her daughter since 2008, where they enjoy the beautiful scenery and Bozeman’s lively downtown cultural scene.

Elizabeth Freeman

Program  Coordinator ​

Elizabeth was born and raised in Flagstaff, AZ but has roots in the Tohono O’odham nation, Hopi, Navajo, and Acoma. She brings a compassionate spirit with a passion for improving the quality of lives of everyone around her to her role as Program Coordinator. She has both direct service and administrative skills from her career serving individuals with developmental disabilities. After living in Phoenix for several years, she relocated back to Flagstaff with her daughter Nia and their black cat, Katie. Together they love spending time with family, baking, and traveling.

Alfred Lomahquahu

​Community Coordinator- Hopi Nation

Alfred was born in Keams Canyon, Arizona. He currently lives in the village of Bacavi on the Hopi reservation. After attending primary school on Hopi and Sherman Indian High School in Riverside California, he enlisted in the Marines and was given the Military Occupation Specialty (1345) Engineer, Heavy Equipment Operator. He served 6 years active, 2 years reserve.  He then continued his passion for public service as the Governor for the village of Bacavi, and Vice Chairman of the Hopi Tribe. His other various titles include: Cancer Educator for NAU, Artist, Commander of the American Legion Lori Piestewa Post 80 and Consultant for Hopi Tribal Housing Authority.
