Hopi ARPA - For Profit Wood Vendor Needed - Serving Hopi Communities ONLY - March 20th, 2026 through September 30th, 2026

Red Feather, in collaboration with the Hopi Tribe Pandemic Recovery Committee (HTPRC) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Hopi serving wood vendors.

This federal funding is designated to support the ongoing firewood distribution efforts to Hopi Homes. All services are paid for and completed under a "Price Per Cord" pricing model, with delivery completion being a direct to home service. All payments are issued as reimbursements for completed services. There will be no upfront advances for any work.
All invoices must be accompanied by a completed distribution report (this comes included in our final contract).

All Wood Vendors will be required to possess an active Hopi Business License (see link) www.hopi-nsn.gov/tribal-services/office-of-revenue-commission/ , and must obtain an approved Federal Unique Entity Identifier Number (UEI# - see link) Entity Registration | SAM.gov

Optional Trainings will be offered to interested applicants. See links, dates and times to meetings on the left side of this page.

If you are a Hopi Household needing Firewood Distribution Assistance, please reference and contact the active and ongoing list of Wood Vendors currently in contract with Red Feather. All services must be solicited through the wood vendors directly; Red Feather will not be handling individual distribution requests.

Linked below is the application to our RFQ submission. Please read it carefully, and return the completed copy to [email protected]

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: The Red Feather program office sits in an area that is sacred to over 14 local tribes, including the Diné, Hopi, Havasupai, Hualapai, Zuni, Pueblo, and Kaibab-Paiute peoples. Some of these nations are represented among the Red Feather staff, and some not. We humbly acknowledge this area’s Indigenous nations, original stewards and Native descendants who will forever know this place as home. We share a responsibility to recognize and acknowledge the people, cultures, and histories that make up our community. *Adapted from the Flagstaff City Council land acknowledgement developed by the Indigenous Commission
