Red Feather staff members returned in July from our home rehab and community-based construction projects on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. Currently there are six Northern Cheyenne families that are in the multi-year process of gaining the title status document for their land, which is required for home construction. This predicament has led us to this year's rehab and community projects. Once this important land process is complete, we can then return to our focus of constructing new straw bale homes for these families.

Despite this bureaucratic delay, Red Feather volunteers and Northern Cheyenne tribal members were able to complete over two dozen much-needed home repair projects for tribal elders, families and the disabled. In addition to these rehabs, the community of White River (Busby) also has a new baseball field, which received a very enthusiastic response from children and adults within this area.
