Past Projects
This is only a partial listing of Red Feather’s past projects. Our projects range from a one-day installation of wheelchair ramps to the construction of straw bale homes and communal facilities.

Russell Home - June 2008
Northern Cheyenne Reservation
Despite the brutal weather, Winfield Russell’s home project was a great success. The usual occurred: a beautiful home was built and volunteers gave selflessly to a common goal.

Home Renovation Projects - June 2007
Northern Cheyenne Reservation
Red Feather staff members returned in July from our home rehab and community-based construction projects on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana.

Duwyenie Home - September 2007
Hopi Reservation
The Red Feather trucks and trailers pulled into Montana in 2007, leaving a trickle of Hopiland sand on the highways between Bacavi and Bozeman.

Roundstone Home - June 2006
Northern Cheyenne Reservation
The Roundstone home provided a model for homeownership in the Norther Cheyenne country.
Shebola Home - September 2006
Hopi Reservation
Representation of the greatest community interest of any Red Feather build to date.
Tenakhongva Home - September 2005
Hopi Reservation
Hopi Nation’s first straw bale home on the reservation.
Turtle Mountain Enviromental Research Center - 2005
Turtle Mountain Reservation
Sustainablity, efficiency and alternatives will all be taught from within the straw bale walls of the Turtle Mountain ERC.

Crow Study Hall - July 2002

Red Feather’s Wheelchair Ramp-A-Thon helped provide a Tulalip elder with a ramp and a deck.
