Stanley Works Provides $50,000 Gift
During a time when many corporate philanthropic contributions have been dramatically reduced or eliminated, The Stanley Works, the company that manufactures Stanley hand tools and other hardware products, donated $50,000 this week to Red Feather. The Stanley Works has been a corporate sponsor of the program both though product and financial donations since 2002. As the “Official Hand Tool Supplier” for Red Feather, Stanley provides the organization with an array of tools to be used during the construction of each building project.
“Here at home and around the world, The Stanley Works supports organizations that share Stanley’s commitment to make something great, both with our products and in our communities,” said John Lundgren, Chairman and CEO of The Stanley Works. “I can think of few better examples of this spirit than Red Feather. Its American Indian Sustainable Housing Initiative builds upon each tribe’s unique traditions and leverages community education techniques to develop a hands-on, how-to approach to solving housing problems on these reservations. We salute Red Feather on its long-term vision of self-sufficiency and unique approach to education, and are proud to lend our support to these efforts.”
A salute to you as well, Stanley Works! Thank you for your tremendous partnership.
